Microsoft IT Experiences with Duet Enterprise and Gateway (to the Cloud too) - Peter Loop, presenter

This presentation covers Microsoft IT's (Microsoft as a customer) experiences with Duet® Enterprise and the SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology. The presenter talks about the value proposition, Microsoft's experiences, their usage strategies and some comparisons of the two products. They (MSIT) are live with Duet Enterprise, and completed POC work with SAP NetWeaver Gateway The presentation shares the strategies MSIT used to develop business applications, details of some of the solutions implemented, and future solutions they are working on including linking on-premise SAP systems to cloud-based composite applications. The presentation also attempts to cover product roadmaps to the best of the presenter's abilities, and has lined up representation from SAP & Microsoft to cover future roadmaps for the products.

It will not only affect internal processes in accounting, but it can also have a major impact across entire business models. Learn how SAP tackles this issue by engaging closely with customers as part of the recently launched CEI (Customer Engagement Initiative) process. As a co-presenter, Microsoft will tell you why they are collaborating with SAP towards finding new solutions to cover upcoming requirements raised by new accounting standards and business models. The joint presentation from Microsoft and SAP also includes an assessment of the changes in the accounting standards of FASB and IFRS, as well as a high-level solution approach for meeting the legal and business-related revenue recognition requirements.
